I have been working in Pen & Ink now for some years. The main reason I looked to this medium was because I am colour-blind! My paintings previously raised a few eye brows s to my interpretation of colour.  I have, however, returned to painting in oils, and the pure ‘colourists’ will have to allow some artistic licence!

In my Pen & Ink drawings I enjoy drawing old buildings and the like, but do landscapes too. I tend to sketch when I am away visiting somewhere, often doing a quick sketch initially, taking a picture, and finalising the drawing later. My Oil paintings tends to be done from photographs as it is a difficult medium to work with outdoors.
