Just before I retired in 2006 I decided to enrol in an evening art class at St Ivo school, where I learnt the basics in water colour painting. I soon got the bug and found myself doing more and more at home and enjoying the odd days out and weekends on tutorial workshops. 

I joined the "Let's paint together" art group in Warboys about 12 years ago and it's a great way to meet and enjoy the company of other like minded artists.

Whilst I have stuck mainly to painting in water colour, I have dabbled in oils as well. They are two very different techniques and I am still trying to master them both - but then that's part of the fun.
